We spent the last few days of 2011 shooting content for Jeep and their 2012 range. In true Nalu style, 3 action packed days getting as much vision as we could, up mountains, through cities and down the coast. The final shot is a grab straight of the Epic. Very printable~
Some prints we made up from some archived stills. Currently working on some fresh images from the Epic which are looking fantastic.
A big year for us, taking on a whole lot of new ideas and projects, new toys & new people! Looking forward to a big year next year.
2 Projects to wrap up 2011:Ford’s $2 Dollar Grand Prix“Villages” Apollo Bay
Kudos till the new year~
Nalu teamed up with JP to try a different angle on the typical sports podcast, combining all his latest footage with a high energy, late night seduction/abduction.
All the night scenes were shot on the Epic. Plenty of fun was had thrashing around in the ambulance and creating something fresh and new for all parties involved!
The clip is already doing the rounds on the interwebs, but feel free to watch it here if you haven’t already!
We’ve pieced together some more 3D vision.
If you don’t have any old school anaglyph glasses (red/blue lenses) drop an email.
Nalu begins production on a documentary capturing NZ’s ultra marathon Lisa Tamati undertaking one of the world’s most challenging events, La Ultra: The High, set in the foothills of Himalayas.
The race is 222km nonstop over the two highest passes in the world going up to 5400m in altitude where oxygen is approximately only half of the oxygen compared to sea level and temperatures range from around minus 10 degrees celcius up to 40 plus. Only one man has managed to complete this race before, and no women. Lisa hopes to be the first..

A different application of high frame rates. Here’s a section of a poster with Kelly Slater at 100 frames a second on his way to winning the Rip Curl Pro in 2009.
Don’t forget that each individual frame could be blown up to it’s own poster too.
What to do with a camera that shoots 300 frames per second? mmmmmmm let’s have a look…
Epic housing for an Epic camera. Control over all functions and HD-SDI throughput for above surface monitoring.
Testing underway. Vision coming soon.
